Perks are used to boost a fighter's performance, in general there are three types of perks available in the game namely; Aggression, Focus and Defensive Tough perks.
They can be purchased when available in stores or freely from H2H, Live Events and Career Boxes. Edit
The first perk being the aggression perk is used to temporally alter a fighter's health and damage. It is sub-divided into 5 categories.
Aggression All-Out Attack
Boost ability damage output by 25% but decreasing health by 15%
Boost ability damage output by 15% without decreasing health
Boost ability damage output and health by 5%
Only increases health by 15%
Aggression All-Out Defense
Increases health by 25% but decreasing ability damage output by 5%
Focus perks immensely enhances a fighter's performance by increasing the spawn frequency together with generation rapidity of abilities. Focus perks are also temporal. We have:-
Focus Fast Reflexes :Generate abilities faster than normal
Focus Finisher :Increases the spawn frequency of high damage abilities
Focus Ground :Increases the spawn frequency takedown abilities
Focus Kick Maestro :Increases the chances of generating kick abilities
Focus Standup :
Mostly generate standup abilities
Defense Tough perks are the only permanent perks in the game and with that being said they are really hard to collect. They are exclusive only in H2H fights and active when defending fights during opponent's turn (as the AI). They're divided into 4 categories.
Defensive Normal :Increases defensive reflexes to medium, making your fighter to parry/dodge somewhat often
Defensive Intensive :Increases defensive reflexes to high with a FIXED 5% health increment
Defensive Tough :Increases defensive reflexes to very high with a FIXED 10% health increment
Defensive Extreme :
Increases defensive reflexes to extremely high with a FIXED 15% health increment. This perk is extremely rare nowadays, I fair EA no longer gives it out anymore.
An opponent's rating number will appear blue if he has a defensive perk active.
